Ten Things I’ve Learned Before Turning Thirty

Welcome to the club, fellow almost-thirty-somethings! As I have just recently crossed this monumental milestone, I couldn't help but reflect on the wild ride that brought me here. So, here are ten life lessons that I've gathered like gems on this crazy journey.
1. Being Single is Not a Death Sentence
As a wise TV character once said, "I've been dating since I was fifteen! I'm exhausted! Where is he?!" But you know what? It's perfectly okay to be alone. It's better than settling for a toxic relationship. So, let's embrace the solo adventures and rock that "forever young" attitude.
2. The Secret to Eternal Youth: Skincare Routine
Remember, your skin is your canvas, and a little self-care goes a long way. So, invest that time and moisturize, hydrate, and sunscreen like your future self will thank you – because they will!
3. Hush, Don't Tell Your Friend to Break Up
Even when you're convinced her partner belongs in a "Worst of the Worst" list, tread carefully. Honesty isn't always the best policy, especially if you want to keep the lines of communication open. Sometimes, the "I told you so" isn't worth it.
4. The Love You Seek from Others Starts with Self-Love
It's like they say, you can't pour from an empty cup. Love yourself like you're your own celebrity crush. Spoil yourself with affection, and the rest will follow suit.
5. Heroes and Victims – Run Away!
If someone's life script always casts them as the hero or the victim, it's time to stage an exit. In their story, you'll always be the villain. Life's too short to play that role.
6. Friendships Have Expiry Dates
Just like relationships, friendships can run their course. Don't feel guilty about closing a chapter if someone hasn't been a good friend to you. You deserve better co-stars in your life's drama.
7. Embrace the Art of Self-Isolation
Sometimes, you've got to put up the "Do Not Disturb" sign on your life's door. Don't feel bad about shutting yourself off when you need to recharge. Even the most fabulous smartphones run out of battery.
8. It's Not Always About You
Just because someone's grumpy doesn't mean you're the reason behind it. Sometimes, people have their own battles to fight, and you're just an extra in their scene.
9. Haters Gonna Hate – Ignore Them!
Remember, there will always be critics who try to rain on your parade. Ignore them and keep dancing to your own tune. As the fabulous Samantha Jones once said, "I will not be judged by you or society"
10. Trust Your Gut Feelings
Your intuition is your superpower. If your spidey senses tingle upon meeting someone, trust it. You're probably right 99.9% of the time.
Now, here's the fun part! Let's keep the conversation going. I'd love to hear your life lessons and experiences. Share them in the comments, and let's inspire each other to keep growing, learning, and embracing our inner Blair Waldorf or Carrie Bradshaw. After all, the best lessons are those we learn together.
